Antique Piano Stool (J. Fitter) "Deceased Estate" in BIBARINGA, South Australia for sale
This is an Antique piano stool which is in need of restoration and repair.
The leg has come apart from the frame and was previously glued. It is a 'clean' break and slots back into the hole.
There are a few small tears and age cracks in the leather upholstery and a button is missing. A beautiful piece of English history. I am unsure of the timber type; perhaps oak? It has an adjustable swivel type seat and is stamped in the metal plate " J. Fitter " who was a maker of piano furniture in Burmingham.
approximate era: late 19th century
This stool would be highly valuable once restored and fixed.
